Simply Music Group Guitar classes are perfect for beginner to intermediate players looking to build a strong foundation while having fun with others. Our weekly 60-minute lessons combine hands-on guitar instruction with musicianship, all in a relaxed and welcoming group setting. It’s a great way to explore new ideas, make friends, and grow your skills. We recommend students come in with some basics, like knowing a few open chords, reading chord charts, and a love for music!

Dive into the timeless music of The Beatles with this fun and engaging six-week journey! Each week, we’ll explore classic tunes, build new skills, and jam together in a relaxed group setting. We’ll kick things off with introductions, some Beatles listening magic, and rocking out to “Twist and Shout.” From there, we’ll groove through favorites like “Love Me Do” and “Yellow Submarine,” experiment with dominant chords in “From Me to You,” and tackle rhythm and lead parts in “Paperback Writer.” In the final week, the class takes the lead, picking a song to wrap up this unforgettable Beatles adventure with style!

Ready to dive into the world of the blues? This beginner-friendly class is your gateway to the essential skills needed to play in a live blues band. Inspired by legends like B.B. King, Eric Clapton, and Billy Gibbons, you’ll learn classic blues progressions, lead techniques like bends and slides, rhythm guitar comping, and intros, turnarounds, and endings that define the blues style. Plus, we’ll get you jamming with others, so you’re ready for the energy of live performance. Join us and let the good times roll!
How much do I need to know about guitar before joining a class?
You should have a basic understanding of the guitar, have done some learning on your own or with a teacher, and are comfortable moving at an intermediate pace. ​

Passionate about musical communication, Matt draws influence and inspiration from guitarists such as Julian Lage, Jerry Garcia, Mark Lettieri, and more.
